Ground floor apartment to rent in a traditonal Swiss Chalet, fully equipped to local holiday home standards. The Chalet is set in its own grounds in a quiet location, with very little through-traffic (Fahrverbot after the Chalet).
An ideal place for 2 guests desiring a simple, peaceful getaway or a base for their sporting pursuits - as long as you don't mind the hike up from the village after a long day out! Otherwise, it's 1 minute from the centre by car, or a Bus can drop you at the Kreuzweg stop on Terrassenweg, ca. 300m above the Chalet.
The Chalet is situated up the steep Kreuzweg road, approx. 10mins walking distance uphill from the village centre, bus station, sport centre, shops, tourist info, Coop supermarket, and train station.
There are spectacular panoramic views around the valley to the Eiger, Wetterhorn, Fiescherhorner and more. Guests are welcome to share with us a small outdoor area of terrace, with table and chairs for guest use. First/Bussalp/Faulhorn summer/winter hiking area accessible from the doorstep! Close proximity (200m) to Bodmi beginners ski area in winter, from where a short piste leads to Firstbahn Gondola.
The apartment is spacious for 2 persons, a third bed in a seperate small bedroom can accomodate an extra person for an extra fee (see all prices *from 2 persons).
Compact bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, 1 double bedroom with wardrobe.
Kitchen-dining room with Dishwasher, Oven, Hob, fridge/freezer, toaster and electric kettle.
Living room with TV and WiFi, sofa.
All guests from 12 years pay an obligatory Tourist Tax in Grindelwald, which is payable on arrival. Guests will receive a digital Guest card which grants small discounts and the free use of local buses.
Please note:
The apartment does not have a microwave, electric coffee machine or laundry machine.
There is parking at the Chalet (in snow conditions Nov-March, it's mandatory to have a 4X4 vehicle with snow chains for the tyres, (Feel free to comtact us for more details).
This is a private residence with 3 other apartments, in a quiet neighbourhood. Guests must to be mindful of other residents, their privacy and their property, for this reason, all other outdoor areas around the Chalet are private.
No smoking, no pets.
Quiet times 22:00 - 06:00.
Remove outdoor shoes when indoors.
A ski rack is provided outside for winter sport equipment.
