Rustic natural stone house with a comfortable interior and a gardenThe lovely natural stone house enjoys a panoramic location between Siena and Grosseto, in the inland area of the Maremma, in an undulating hilly landscape. The house is in a little borgo (hamlet) with a view of Monte Labbro and is 2.5km from Petricci, accessed along a gravel track.The accommodation with around 120m² of living space is suitable for a maximum of six people. The spacious living room with tasteful and stylish Tuscan furniture provides comfortable seating by the open fire, or you can choose one of many board games from a chest. Satellite TV is available. The spacious kitchen with a dishwasher is ideal for amateur chefs, equipped with a mixer and blender for preparing Mediterranean menus, a modern four-flame gas stove with an integrated electric grill and and oven, a modern fridge with freezer compartments, a dishwasher, washing machine and vacuum cleaner. Two of the three bedrooms are furnished with a double bed, while the third has a single bed. All the bedrooms are accessed independently. There is a further single bed in the living room. One bathroom has a bath, the other a shower, and there is also a separate guest WC. All the rooms have heating. There is no Internet connection.You can withdraw undisturbed in the big garden. The terrace in front of the house has a cosy sitting and dining area. A charcoal grill is provided for a sociable grill evening. There are sunny and shady spots outdoors. Two private outdoor parking spaces are available. Pets are welcome on request.Please note that the house is non-smoking.The accommodation is a good starting point for many trips in the area, such as the famous thermal springs of Saturnia with the golf resort, 20 minutes away. You can indulge in the luxurious thermal baths all year round. Etruscan necropolises, the Daniel Spoerri art garden, the fairytale tarot garden by Niki de Saint Phalle, charming little wine-growing village such as Montalcino, the home of the famous Brunello, the picturesque Pienza, many monasteries and of course Siena are just a few of the attractive destinations for a day trip. It is about an hour to the sea with the most beautiful beaches in Tuscany, as well as to Lago di Bolsena in Latium. Monte Amiata at 1738 metres and its surroundings offer ideal hiking possibilities. The people here live especially off sheep rearing and olive and wine cultivation. There are several nature reserves in the area. It is just a 15-minute walk to a restaurant. The nearest village is 2.5km away with a little shop, a post office and a bar. You can find two well-stocked supermarkets in Arcidosso, where there is also a delicatessen shop with fruit and vegetables, excellent local cheeses, honey and dried mushrooms gathered on Monte Amiata. Handmade tagliatelle, tortelli, lasagna and pizza are available just around the corner. Weekly markets are held in all local villages, selling groceries, clothes and household items. Prices are by all means negotiable.
